Indigenes of Eleme in Europe under the auspices of ‘Eleme Union Europe’ have expressed satisfaction with the swift take-off and developmental plan of Eleme LGA Chairman Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor (JP.). The group who paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman to formally congratulate him on his electoral victory and emergence as the Local Government Chairman of Eleme indicated her willingness to partner with his administration to boost human capital development, and employment generation amongst others. Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Ngochindo Bode said; “we the Eleme Union, Europe wish to congratulate you on your assumption of office as the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, we have seen your good works all around and the works you have started through different platforms, we are here to congratulate you and wish you the best”.
Mr Bode who was also accompanied by Mr Samson Jike called for synergy with the Council to train youths of Eleme in different skills in order to make them employable. “Also, we want to partner with you to train our people, the people of Eleme in skills, the innovative aspect, these are things that will move Eleme progressively. Not just welding, and catering but ideal skills. “We want to make our people employable so that these companies will not have excuses. So we want to partner with you to work on training Eleme people, we have so many ideas we want to share with your cabinet and then come out with a plan”, he concluded.
So responding, the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor expressed gratitude for the honour accorded him by Eleme Union Europe and welcomed the request to partner with the council to train the youth of Eleme. Speaking further, he said; “By the grace of God, before I started running for the office of the Chairman of Eleme, I had the challenges of our people already marshalled out and the ways on how to tackle them which training our youths and making them be gainfully engaged are one of them.
“So I think what you have proposed is in line with what we have planned to do, I am very happy and I think if all we are saying now is properly put together, then we will be on the part of success for Eleme. So what also we will do now is to make sure that this discussion is carried forward from this moment, we will make our own commitment and we will make the Executive Assistant and one or two other persons begin to work out the plan to see how to compare what we have on ground and what you have come forward with so that within the next few weeks we can begin to put them into action. Our time is short, we just have three years to run this tenure, we don’t have time to keep procrastinating when we have a good plan that is in line with the plans of this administration.
“Eleme is going to be very great again, we are already doing that. Yesterday we handed Eleme to God. We want to do things differently so we can get better results. It’s a paradigm shift, you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results, we have shifted from the normal to something better hoping to get better results and we will surely have a more peaceful, developed, proposed driven and focused Eleme”, Chief Obarilomate envisioned.
